Autorenprogramm “Patchwork” unter wine 9.0 getestet

Durch eine Anfrage im Ubuntuusers.de-Forum wurde ich inspiriert, ein Programm mal wieder zu testen wobei der letzte Test von 2018 war.

Diesmal ging es um das Autorenprogramm “Patchwork” was ich auf meiner Slackwarebox installiert habe und welches auch an sich ganz gut lief.

Ich habe den entsprechenden Eintrag in der AppDB zu “Patchwork” daher um einen Bericht ergänzt.

Auch wurde ein kleines HOWTO für die aktuelle Version geschrieben welches ihr im Bericht zu 4.0.7 unter “Notes/HOWTO” finden könnt.

Zwei neue wine-Tests – diesmal unter wine-stable 9.0

Es gab im ubuntuusers.de-Forum zwei neue Anfragen zu Tests mit wine und ich hatte ein wenig Zeit, mir die Sachen anzuschauen:

Schon lange habe ich bei wine kein Platinum (works out of the box – no problems) mehr vergeben aber Skat 9.5.1 scheint ein guter Kandidat zu sein. Hier mussten keine winetricks oder Microsoft Bibliotheken angewendet werden. Eine entsprechende Bewertung habe ich bei der AppDB eingereicht, der hier in der AppDB zu finden ist.

Ein anderer Testkandidat war die Software PV*SOL von Valentin Software wobei eine 30-Tage Testversion zum Download bereit steht und das entsprechende Prefix mit winetricks etwas bearbeitet werden muss:

Also hier nichts mit “Works out of the box – No problems” und manuelle Eingriffe sind vorher nötig. Somit also höchstens Gold Status

Beide Programme wurden in die AppDB eingetragen und warten nun auf Freischaltung. Updates und entsprechende Links zu den Testberichten und Screenshots folgen in Kürze.

A Tribute and Memorial to leading SQL Ledger developer Dieter Simader

It has been with great sadness that I learned about Dieter’s passing from a friend of mine in the “SQL Ledger Network”. Apparently it has now been one year that he is no longer with us and can’t continue his work on SQL Ledger.

My sincerest condolences go out to his family and relatives – SQL Ledger still is one of my favorite Linux programs and definitely made my life as a small business owner a lot easier without the huge price premiums or subscriptions with similar business packages.

It is one of the few software packages I contributed code snippets but also translations and Chart of Accounts to.

You will be missed Dieter. Thank you for your fantastic work you gave to the world and all the emails we wrote over the years from which I learnt a lot.
